Описание: A Toronto police officer is dead after being shot during an “exchange of gunfire” early Thursday morning.

Toronto Police Service said in a post on X on Thursday that officers were conducting a search warrant near Tretheway and Black Creek Drives at 5:42 a.m., when gunshots rang out.

An officer was shot, and they were taken to hospital where they were pronounced dead. Sources told Global News the officer is Cst. Marc Pinizzotto.

A spokesperson for Toronto paramedics told Global News another person was taken to hospital in serious, life-threatening condition.
