1) TSOP IR receiver ~which data pins connects negative to output
2) PNP transistor ~ whose base pin triggered by data pin & thus switches the emitter pin to high or low /on or off.
the reason for connecting transistor is too connect hight power load then a singal LED,, such as high power big LED, multiple LED strip.
