The series stars Peter Claffey as Ser Duncan the Tall (known for Bad Sisters, Wreck, and Small Things Like These), who leads the cast alongside Dexter Sol Ansell as his squire, Egg (featured in The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes, Christmas on Mistletoe Farm, and Midwich Cuckoos). Joining them are Finn Bennett as Aerion Targaryen (True Detective: Night Country, The Nevers, and Hope Gap), Bertie Carvel as Baelor Targaryen (The Crown, Dalgliesh, and Les Misérables), and Tanzyn Crawford as Tanselle (Tiny Beautiful Things, Servant, and Alexander). Rounding out the ensemble are Daniel Ings as Ser Lyonel Baratheon (The Gentlemen, Lovesick, and The Crown), Sam Spruell as Maekar Targaryen (Fargo, The Settlers, and Snow White and the Huntsman), and Edward Ashley as Ser Steffen Fossoway (The King, Masters of the Air, and The Terror).
