2023-2024 Course Selection Process

Описание: It’s that time of the year when you begin selecting courses for the 2023-2024 school year.  I would like to share some important information related to the process of selecting next year’s courses.  First, take a moment to review the video above which outlines the steps for choosing courses and reviews our expectations and timelines.  Then review the program of study which contains all of the information necessary to assist you in making your selections. Each course listed has a description, indicating if it is a semester or full year courser and any prerequisites. Additionally, the Graduation requirements can be found on pages 6 and 7.

Course selection for current students begins on the date indicated for each grade level:

An email reminder will be sent on the date that the portal opens for each class.  Course selections must be completed within a week’s time.  Students in need of assistance from guidance counselors and/or teachers should take this week to make decisions on courses and placement.  The online module will automatically close at the conclusion of the week.  Once the time frame is over, guidance will make appointments for each student to review his or her selections and print a confirmation sheet.  These confirmation sheets need to be signed by parents and students and returned immediately.  

It's also important to note that some courses may not run if enrollment requests are insufficient.  This is why we ask that you carefully select your alternate courses. Please make sure that you read and follow these directions and adhere to the deadlines established.  Selecting your course in a timely manner will help ensure that we can complete all necessary tasks related to the development of the 2023-2024 Master schedule. Finally, if you have any questions, at anytime, regarding this process, please reach out to your Guidance Counselor for help.
