Σκότος βαθεῖαν ψυχὴν καταπίνει,
κραυγὴ ἐν νυκτὶ ῥήσσει τὸν οὐρανόν.
Θρῆνοι νεκρῶν ἐγείρουσιν ἄνεμον,
καὶ τὸ πῦρ τοῦ Ἅδου λάμπει φρικῶδες.

Χάλυβος κροτεῖ· ἡ γῆ σεισμὸν ἀναστενάζει,
αἱ φωναὶ τῶν δαιμόνων χορεύουσιν ἐν πυρί.
Μέλας κύων ἑλίσσεται ἐπὶ ταφῆς,
καλῶν μαχητὰς ἐκ τῆς λήθης ὀρθωθῆναι.

Ἐπ᾽ ἀκροπόλει ἱστάμεθα,
παῖδες χειμῶνος καὶ φλόγος ἀθανάτου.
Σείσατε τὰς ἀλύσεις,
σπάσατε τὸν φόβον, φέρετε βροντὴν ἐπὶ κόσμον.

Κενὸν φῶς, καπνὸς τῆς ἀβύσσου,
ἀστέρας καταπίνοντες ὡς θηρία.
Τὰ ὀνόματά μας γέγραπται ἐν σκιᾷ,
καὶ ἡ μοῖρα ἀντιλαλεῖ ἐν μαύρῃ λύρᾳ.

Ἐκ τῶν ὀστέων ἡ ἰσχὺς προβαίνει,
ἐκ τῆς στάχτης ὁ θυμὸς ἀναφλέγεται.
Ὕμνος πολεμικὸς διὰ χιλιετηρίδας,
καλῶν ἡμᾶς εἰς ἄναρχον μέταλλον αἱμάτων.

TRANSLATION:

Fire of Hades

Darkness swallows the deep soul,
a scream in the night tears the sky apart.
The laments of the dead awaken the wind,
and the fire of Hades burns with dread.

Steel clatters; the earth groans with quaking,
the voices of demons dance within the flames.
A black hound coils around the grave,
calling warriors to rise from forgetfulness.

We stand upon the high fortress,
children of winter and undying flame.
Shake the chains,
shatter the fear, bring thunder upon the world.

Empty light, smoke of the abyss,
devouring stars like beasts.
Our names are written in shadow,
and fate echoes on a black lyre.

From the bones strength arises,
from the ashes fury ignites.
A war-hymn through the ages,
calling us into the ancient metal of blood.
