Shene Aziz Ako, 19, from Ranya was chosen in Rotana Hotel of Erbil as the first Miss Kurdistan.
This was the first beauty pageant held in the Kurdistan Region.
A group of Lebanese experts supervised the pageant during the Hala Erbil Festival which was meant for boosting tourism in Kurdistan.
Among other precious awards, Miss Kurdistan received an expensive diamond set. 12 contesters chosen from 40 applicants eyed the crown.
