Описание: This episode has me crossing Bass Straight to Deal Island then on to Lady Barren at the south end of Flinders Island. Looking at the forecast before leaving Lakes Entrance, I could see a window of opportunity to cross the 100-mile stretch to Deal Island, stay there for the night then press on to Lady Barren the next day. The weather came in pretty fiercely once I arrived at Lady Barren and because I couldn't get on to any of the public moorings, I anchored in Opossum Bay, just near the town. My anchor held really well for over 8 hours in 40-knot winds, then it got windy... It reached 55 knots! I was keeping a pretty close eye on things and then, the anchor dragged in the early hours of the morning. It was a long night, but I got some assistance at first light and was helped on to a private mooring for the day by some locals. All I can say is, once that wind dropped a little, I was keen to get outta there!
