Bobby Chakraborty is a marine engineer, an actor, an activist, a teacher and an executive committee member of West Bengal Federation of United Nation.Dr. Surjo Sen of “KHELA” has been that character which made him win the hearts of many with his acting skills and boosted his career. Journey as an activist began when Bobby Lost his uncle (Monikaka), a talented man who was consumed by addiction when he was barely 29. Monikaka was Immensely talented and creative soul most importantly his best friend. This incident affected him and his family very badly. When as an actor Bobby, started gaining popularity, He planned to address the younger generation especially the school kids about alcoholism and narcotics. Gradually a team was formed. Started visiting schools all around Kolkata, going out of Kolkata and now working on an international level. Bobby Says “everyone will not listen to me but even if one child follows me that’s my reward”.Bobby is a popular actor in the television soap circuit, having played stellar roles in popular bangla serials like Ogo Bodhu Sundari, Khela, Mouchak, Sakhi. Bobby also featured in Buddhadeb Dasgupta's Hindi film 'Trayadarshi', a collection of 13 stories on Tagore's poems. Under the tagline of " I AM THE KING OF MY MIND " Bobby has conducted over a hundred motivational campaigns in schools and colleges, among the youth, against addiction to intoxicating substances. In the light of his noble efforts, Bobby has been bestowed with numerous awards as a change to the society.
