Speaking in Sanand, the Prime Minister underscored how sustained planning and policy focus have now begun translating into reality, as India pushes to establish itself in the global semiconductor ecosystem.

The statement comes at a time when India is accelerating efforts to build domestic chip manufacturing capabilities, reduce import dependence, and strengthen its position in the global supply chain.

The semiconductor push is being seen as a key pillar of India’s ‘Make in India’ and self-reliance initiatives, with major investments and infrastructure developments underway.
