Recently, while discussing the outcome of the Texas Democratic primaries, a question came up that Joshua honestly didn’t expect — whether he truly values Black women, or simply tolerates them. That question sparked reflection and opened the door to a deeper conversation.

Tonight, Joshua will share a few honest thoughts, get a few things off his chest, and invite members of the club to do the same as we explore how the themes in this book intersect with real-life conversations about appreciation, criticism, expectations, and respect.

This conversation is not meant to be a debate, but an opportunity to listen, learn, and better understand one another.
