Teruel is a city in the autonomous community of Aragón, in eastern Spain. Located in a high-altitude mountainous area, it is famous for its classic Mudejar architecture, a style that combines Gothic and Islamic elements. An example of a Mudejar monument would be the cathedral of Santa María de Mediavilla (dating back to the 12th century), with its elaborate paintings on the ceiling. The Torre del Salvador also shares the Mudejar style, which dates back to the 14th century. It has an intricate façade and stairs that lead to the top.

In 1533, in the Church of San Pedro in Teruel, two mummies were found under the floor of the chapel of Saints Cosmas and Damian, and it was considered that these belonged to the legendary lovers, although it was not possible to verify if this was true. Situada en una zona montañosa de gran altitud, es famosa por su arquitectura mudéjar clásica, un estilo que combina elementos góticos e islámicos. Un ejemplo de monumento mudéjar sería la catedral de Santa María de Mediavilla (que data del siglo XII), con sus elaboradas pinturas en el techo. La Torre del Salvador también comparte el estilo mudéjar, que data del siglo XIV. Tiene una intrincada fachada y escaleras que conducen a la cima.


En 1533, en la Iglesia de San Pedro de Teruel, se encontraron dos momias bajo el suelo de la capilla de los Santos Cosme y Damián, y se consideró que pertenecían a los legendarios amantes, aunque no se pudo comprobar si se trataba de verdadero.
