The Spring/Summer 1991 collection showcased Yves Saint Laurent’s mastery of modern tailoring and iconic silhouettes. The show featured single- and double-breasted jackets, tailored and wide-leg pants, pencil skirts, column dresses, and shirts in a refined palette of navy, black, gray, and cream.
A brighter sequence introduced flowing printed maxi dresses, shorts, strapless blouses, and beaded bralettes in shades of red, pink, yellow, green, orange, lilac, white, and light blue. Accessories included an eclectic mix of hats, from pilot-inspired designs to Vietnamese leaf styles, paired with black mules and gold pumps.
Make-up emphasized dark eyes and red lips, while hair was styled blow-dried and left loose, completing the polished yet diverse aesthetic of the season.
