This Game Is Incredible - Metal: Hellsinger (Max Difficulty / Full First Playthrough / No Sigils)

Just a video showing the full campaign of the newly released game Metal Hellsinger, being played on the hardest difficulty without using any sigils (these can be earned via torments after each level to give you bonuses and make the game easier). As always, I seldom use titles like this unless it's something I truly believe is worthy of it. This game is exactly that, as I loved every second playing this. It's a completely unique experience I've never encountered before in gaming. I know there's other similar games (like BPM), but for me this was my first time playing a game like this. It's basically if you mixed Doom Eternal combat with Guitar Hero, and both of those were games that I thoroughly enjoyed in their times. On top of that, it has metal as the music used, which is my personal favourite genre. Regardless, it ticked pretty much every single box possible, and was something I was highly anticipating after the demo.

The combat and gamplay is exceptional, and that's what makes this stand out. There's something incredibly satisfying about having a fast-paced FPS all lining up with the beat of the music at the same time. The story isn't amazing, the boss fights are mostly variations of the one enemy, and overall enemy variance isn't huge either - but the combat and playing to the beat is enjoyable enough to make all of those points non-factors. With it being on the shorter side I think it helps it to not become repetitive, but even then I see myself going back to play this quite a bit more for all the torments and just for the experience.

Difficulty-wise, it's not the most crazy challenging game. I had a couple of fumbles here and there, and at some points I had lapses in concentration and completely went off-beat for ages. I think the last 3 levels I wiped once on each, and the final boss took me a few tries to actually get down. That boss fight is no joke if you're running on beast difficulty without any sigils though.

All in all, I'd rate this as one of my personal favourite games of all time. Remnant: From the Ashes still tops that list, but this is somewhere up there with all the FromSoft games and Doom Eternal personally.

There's a free demo of the game on all platforms (I believe) if it's something you want to try, and if it even looks remotely interesting to you, I'd highly recommend at least giving it a go.
