Step 1: Sit down on the edge of a chair with your legs together.
Step 2: Lure the dog to put their paws on your lap with treats. Make sure to use a phrase like "help".
Step 3: Use another verbal command to get them off. Make sure to treat them for this as well.
Step 4: After they are used to the verbal command, add in a physical due like hunching over, or whatever suits your needs.
Step 5: Start to lower the treat so that they drape their entire body over you.
Step 6: Slowly increase the amount of time they must hold the position before treating them.
Step 7: Now remove the verbal command and use only the physical.
