Peace Pagoda - A Peace Pagoda is a Buddhist stupa: a monument to inspire peace, designed to provide a focus for people of all races and creeds, and to help unite them in their search for world peace. Most, though not all, peace pagodas built since World War II have been built under the guidance of Nichidatsu Fujii (1885–1985), a Buddhist monk from Japan and founder of the Nipponzan-Myōhōji Buddhist Order. Fujii was greatly inspired by his meeting with Mahatma Gandhi in 1931 and decided to devote his life to promoting non-violence. In 1947, he began constructing Peace Pagodas as shrines to world peace. Lepcha Jagat - Lepchajagat is a small village in the forest at an elevation of 6,956 feet (i.e. 2123 meters) located 19 km away from Derjeeling situated on the route that connects Ghoom and Sukhiapokhari. Lepchajagat means "Lepcha tribe shelter" in the original language. The main draw of Lepchajagat is its proximity to Darjeeling while still allowing you to remain in a lovely village with stunning natural vistas. It attracts nature lovers because of its peaceful atmosphere and stunning views of Mt. Kanchenjunga and its surrounding peaks.

Batasia Loop - The Batasia Loop is a spiral railway created to lower the gradient of ascent of the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway in Darjeeling district of West Bengal, India. At this point, the track spirals around over itself through a tunnel and over a hilltop. It was commissioned in 1919.
There is also a memorial to the Gorkha soldiers of the Indian Army who sacrificed their lives after the Indian Independence in 1947. (WIKIPEDIA)
