In this video we will consider Gas Leakage / Gas Mixing where change in mass takes place and as a result change in pressure while Volume stays the same of the vessel. This problem refers to the whole class of problems where Two or more vessels / tanks are connected with a tube. It is also about Valves which are opened when certain change in pressure takes place. For sure number of moles, mass is changing.
It might be stated that
Two identical vessels are connected by a tube with a valve letting the gas pass from one vessel into the other if the pressure difference is greater than or equal to certain pressure ( atm or Pa )
Initially there was a vacuum in one vessel while the other contained ideal gas at certain Macro Parameters : Pressure Temperature.
Possible question might sound like:
Up to what value will the pressure in the first vessel increase? or
Find out final pressure in both vessels / tanks
For sure, we re going to use Equation of the Gas state and also touch Normal Conditions.
