Why do we have two engines in Gulfstreams? Because we always want a spare. What if we are down to one engine? Then we want to land as soon as possible. That's why we need PETs. Your flight planning service provider can do them for you automatically, but you need to know how to compute one manually to make sure they chose the ETP airports wisely and to compute your own if they didn't. You might also need to figure your own ETP in case your flight plan provider uses the wrong assumptions for some cases.

In the planning stage of the flight, it can be quite important to know the radius of action - also referred to as the Point of No Return, indicating the maximum distance aircraft can go & still be able to return safely to a selected base. It will always be less than half the maximum SAR.

This lecture covers important concepts on which numerical sums are based. Back questions (Unsolved) of CP/PNR chapter test a student's understanding and grip over the chapter. CP/PNR has a very high weightage in Ground theory (General Nav) as well as in Flying.

The back questions are a variety of conceptual questions that a student can answer only and only if his/her knowledge is complete, relevant and practical. So, in this video, I explain the concepts while solving the numerical questions. Also, I have shared tricks and important reminders. More the Practice, more the Confidence.

I have divided the total of 31 questions into different lectures keeping in mind the concentration spans of students. It is a humble suggestion that all students subscribe to this channel so as to keep updated with the next relevant video.
