Winter trout fishing at Lake Hemet was no joke today… and sometimes that’s just how it goes. 🥶🎣
Cold water. Slow bites. Wind shifting. Pressure changing. I tried everything — power bait, spinners, slow retrieves, different depths — but the trout just weren’t committing. That’s winter fishing.
No fish this trip… but still a peaceful day on the water. Sometimes it’s about the grind, learning the conditions, and enjoying the outdoors even when the bite shuts down.
