Описание: Voting for 29 municipal corporations across Maharashtra has begun, with all eyes on the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), India’s largest and richest civic body with a massive budget of over ₹74,000 crore.

Mumbai’s BMC is divided into 227 electoral wards, with more than 1,700 candidates in the fray. The main political contest is being closely watched as the Thackeray brothers — Uddhav Thackeray and Raj Thackeray — have come together after 20 years to challenge the BJP–Shiv Sena alliance.
