The $42 Casio AQ-S810W Analog/Digital Watch In Depth Review

This watch isn't as tough as a G-Shock but still features 100 meters of water resistance (10 Bar). It has two analog hands plus an LCD window to display seconds along with many other functions. The watch has a dual-countdown timer with a maximum duration of 99 minutes and 55 seconds per timer and those timers can repeat up to 10 times. If you only want to use one timer and keep it simple, just set the other timer to 00:00. Otherwise, the two timers will count down in sequence.

The watch has 5 daily alarms plus an hourly signal (or chime). It has a one-hour stopwatch. It has a World Time mode. It has an LED backlight for the digital display and a little bit of glow-in-the-dark material on the tips of the analog hands and at the 12:00, 3:00, 6:00 and 9:00 positions on the face. And the most high-tech feature on this watch is Casio's Tough Solar technology. There's a solar cell built into the face of the watch to keep the battery charged when the watch is exposed to normal lighting on a regular basis (preferably every day). The watch also has a power save feature which turns off the LCD overnight. To take the watch out of that sleep state just press any button or expose the watch to bright light. Also, the day of the week abbreviation in the default Timekeeping mode can be displayed in English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German or Italian.

The AQS810 has a suggested retail price of $55.95 or slightly higher for some variants, but I found this one in a local Walmart store for just $42.
