1. Cutaway of James Marsden
2. SOUNDBITE (English) James Marsden, actor:
"My hope is that there's there's unity and sort of harmony with all the creatives. Like it doesn't have to be like this bad guy, good guy things. It's, you know, we're all we all want to make the actors, the writers, the directors, the studios. We all want to make something special. And you know, that doesn't -- It doesn't have to be a battle, I don't think anyway."

3. SOUNDBITE (English) David Hemingson, 'The Holdovers' screenwriter:
"I think because there was this huge break I'm hearing from people who came from Berlin that they're sort of like, 'the pipeline of films is sort of dried up,' and I think TV shows a little bit (too). But we did what we had to do as a guild, and I stand by what we did. I think the industry is adjusting profoundly. I think the Writers Guild strike was emblematic of that. I think, you know, Hollywood will always survive. We were a town where more people made their living, you know, based on our imagination here than anywhere else in the world. So imagination will prevail, love will prevail, and we'll get it sorted out."

4. Cutaway of Ramon Rodriguez
5. SOUNDBITE (English) Ramon Rodriguez, actor:
"Well, you know, it was necessary, but of course it was difficult and challenging. You know, we knew the impact that's going to have on everybody, you know, and everyone, not only people in the industry, the people that service the industry. So, you know, it was one of those things where we knew it was hard, but we also knew if we don't do something now, our future as actors in this industry, other unions, we have a big fight ahead. So it was important. And then post, you know, after the strike is over, I know everyone's really grateful to be back. You know, going back to the set of 'Will Trent', the gratitude people arrived with, just being able to do what we love was really great. It was a really great feeling."

6. SOUNDBITE (English) Zoe Lister-Jones, actor/writer/producer:
"You know, it's a strange time in our industry, I think. Even though the strike has ended, there's still, I think, a big feeling of contraction. So, I think a lot of people are still out of work. I think it's important to still be, you know, fighting for equity for artists across unions. And a big part of the work that I was grateful to be a part of was about union solidarity. And I think that is how we make strides in terms of protecting artists along the way."
(Reporter - asking about supporting IATSE in their contract negotiations and if they end up going on strike.)
Lister-Jones: "Oh, we have to come out and support. Yeah. They were so supportive to us. And, and that was essential in terms of our negotiating deal. So yeah, we have to show up for IATSE. Whatever. Full stop."

8. SOUNDBITE (English) Da'Vine Joy Randolph, actor:
"Equity. Fairness. And a true sense of appreciation across the board for all different departments so that we can feel good to do the work we need to do. That's all it comes down to If you want to feel good to do the job, you need to ... That's it. And I think and hope that the work will end up being even better because of it. Because imagine how beautiful the work is under those restraints. So. Yeah."
