Our Triumph Riders Club Trivandrum organized a group ride to Kodaikanal , The queen of hills , Tamilnadu.
Our groups plan was to explore Kodaikanal , Both famous tourist spots as well as offbeat villages like Mannavanur, Poondi and Poombaarai.
Unfortunately due to some leave issues and other commitments , i couldnt join the Ride. My friend Arun Purushothaman also missed the ride due to same issue.
On 27th december, our group is actually two days into the ride, Me and Arun decided to give them a surprise by joining the last day of ride.
we started from Nedumangad, Trivandrum to Kodai via thenkasi rajapalayam route. we rode overnight and reached kodaikanal early in the morning by 6.30 on 28th . Nedumangadu to Kodai via Rajapalayam road was not at al good. It has lots of speed breakers and potholes. It was a really bumpy ride , since we had full night to ourselves, we took it as a challenge .
On 28th we met our friends at Mannavanur, explored the serene villages of kodai, day time temperature was only 10 degree Celsius. We enjoyed the weather a lot.
Coming back to trivandrum, we took kodaikanal Tirunelveli trivandrum route. It was mostly highway , we could keep 110-120 kmph easily. Even though this route is lengthier, we reached our place before expected time.
