This extended stick mobility session will give you an idea of how I run my classes. Hopefully, it will enable you to understand that stick mobility is suitable for people of all ages. The session uses a variety of exercises using both a single stick and two sticks and focuses on the whole body.
This is a form of exercise that can be done at home, in the gym or anywhere else. You can do these exercises alone or with other people. Stick mobility exercise targets back and shoulder mobility but also provides overall health and fitness benefits and can prove to be an effective part of any exercise regime.
Exercises are generally aimed at all people but you should take care not to exceed your ability; routines will become easier with experience. If you have specific medical problems, you should always consult your doctor before engaging in strenuous physical activity. Any straight stick is suitable for these sessions and there is no need to buy expensive equipment. You will see that I often use a simple broom handle.
