Writing for Television - Conversations with Rod Serling
This video was transferred by me from VHS video tape from my own collection. The video tape was obtained by me from the tape duplication house "Daily Video" (in Los Angeles, California) for which I worked in the early 1990s. I have no idea for whom, or by whom, these Q&A sessions were produced or for what end purpose or use they were created. Probably filmed in the late 1960s or early 1970s. Shared here for historical reference and historical research, theater and broadcasting students and fans of Mr. Serling.
Rod Serling was an American screenwriter, playwright, television producer, and narrator known for his live television dramas of the 1950s and his anthology television series, The Twilight Zone. Serling was active in politics, both on and off the screen, and helped form television industry standards. He was known as the "angry young man" of Hollywood, clashing with television executives and sponsors over a wide range of issues, including censorship, racism, and war. Serling was born on December 25, 1924 and died on June 28, 1975.
