The third episode of Ricky Nowis Train Sim Journey's see's us now enter new territory as we head to the Great Eastern Mainline.
Driving an Armstrong Powerhouse class 321 working 1F04 London Liverpool Street to Colchester Town via Shenfield. The Great Eastern Mainline is what is described as one of the shortest mainlines in the country covering between London Liverpool Street to Norwich which only takes just 90 minutes to cover.
History in the making as the MK3 sets are slowly dissapearing from the network which is being replaced by the class 740's (I think)
A MK3 set has been preserved and looked after at Crewe Heritage Centre. The MK3's has been in service since the 80's/90's to todays date with mixed variety. The early verson was MK2's and a Mk2 DBSO coach (driver trailer) coach with a class 86 electric locomotive.
