Tips:
-Catch the frequent ferry to Cozumel from the city of Playa del Carmen. Ticket can be bought directly at the ferry port.
-There are plenty of shops in San Miguel de Cozumel offering rental vehicle, from small scooter to big 4x4, pick your choice.
-Many beaches are private property of big hotels and restaurants, but more often than not you can just hang out for free just to the side of these beaches.
Beaches or Playas we recommend in Cozumel:
-Caletita: nice beach very close to the city
-Dzul Ha: quiet beach just slightly out of town
-Palancar: private beach of a restaurant, but with big shallow sandy area, perfect for family
-Chen Rio: a sheltered beach on the east side of the island, protected from the waves
