Here’s a great run,extracted from my YouTube performance of Al Green’s classic “let’s stay together “ I charged here a couple of months ago.
It’s fully based on Ab Major pentatonic scale (except for a E played as chromatic approach note to F)played upon a Ab Major triad...then the song resolves on F Maj key.
This fill was fully improvised,but it reflects the way I practice scales: I mostly think about INTERVALS, more than scale patterns or mere notes.
