A great loop hike into the Sawtooth Mountain/Lake Chelan Wilderness. During the fall, the larch are spectacular, and high mountain lakes are surrounded by the golden trees and stark white granite peaks that form the Sawtooth Mountain range. Additional Note: This is a multi-use trail, but don't let that scare you away! We passed groups of mountain bikes, and trail bikes, at the beginning of the hike, and at the end, with ease. They were respectful, and did thier best to share the trail, and keep the dust down, in short, it was no issue. At the lakes, we had them to ourselves, as the temps drop into the upper 20's at night, this time of year...Oh so worth going into this region to see the spectacular scenery here!
