The ashes of Marshal Lyautey which arrived in Paris and which were placed at the Arch de Triumphe, have been placed in the crypt of the Invalides. The ashes were placed on a truck and driven to the Champs Elysees. President De Gaulle, Mr.Michel Debre and Mr.Messmer were there. General De Gaulle delivered a speech in which he recalled the examplary life of Marshal Lyautey.Then a great military parade took place preceeding the religious ceremony in the St.Louis Chapel inside the Invalides. It was Cardinal Feltim, Archbishop of Paris, who officiated. Then the ashes of Marshall Lyautey were placed in the crypt.
