Stihl ms 661, An Old Chunk & A 72" Long Bar

Описание: So, yah, just playing around here. And No, this chunk was not completely solid either that I know. But, as we see from all the super fine dust flying, the oil was getting sucked up in the process - most notably down in at the bottom of the runs where things are getting heated up. I think that it would have been a little bit better showing had there not been so much fine dust.
The rpms ranged from around 11,500 to 12,000 when the saw was heard spinning up to just a fuzz under 9,000 once it was dragged down by all the sawdust build up.
I did try reaming a little bit to try and alleviate some of the sawdust build up and that seemed to help a little. But again, and as mentioned, the oiler was not designed with enough volume output to handle 199 DRIVERS OF .404 CHAIN - a 72" bar.
This was the first time the chain was used so it's also the first sharpening session. Stops were left untouched. If there was more time, I would have played around with the stops and that might have actually helped with the end chip size and subsequent oiler's under performance.
Calling this the 681 after zinging that many drivers of .404 chain and doing okay at it.
I'm well pleased in this saw for sure. Next time I may get lucky and find something a little more solid.
