A Bard’s Marilith Romance Song

Dante is at it again — poking around demonic cults to expand his arsenal and his reputation. This time he runs straight into a Blade-Queen, ruling the cult from the shadows. Thinking she’s just another charismatic leader, he steps closer and quickly learns two things: not all serpent ladies turn you to stone… some just leave you stiff as a rock — breathing, thinking, and very aware you’ve made a mistake. The second lesson hits harder: Mariliths are fast, brutally strong, terrifyingly agile — and yes, arms for days.

I first encountered the Tanar’ri Marilith back in AD&D 2nd Edition. Six arms, six blades, multiple attacks per round, constrict, Large size, and an absolutely dominating battlefield presence. One of my favorite demons to drop into almost any campaign. Intimidating, tactical, relentless — and unapologetically built like demon royalty. What’s not to like.

Fun Marilith Fact:
Mariliths are not mindless brutes — they’re elite demon generals. In lore, they command legions, outthink most mortals, and treat combat like a choreographed execution rather than a brawl.
