Happy New Year everyone! Wow December was quite an adventure! Due to direct intervention by concerned citizens I became aware of my massive illiteracy. As a resolution for 2026 I have a new goal:

BECOME LITERACY!

To be fair - I have no idea how to do this - but something something the path to heck is paved with good intentions and I have nothing but good intentions here!

The new Shiyu Defense is something very special. And by special I mean that people are openly expressing their displeasure about it. It was absolutely a decision that Hoyo decided to crank the difficulty to the stratosphere right at the beginning of big '26 and I'm not exactly sure how this is going to benefit them going forward. Is making the audience big angry something that raises quarterly revenue, heals the planet and brings peace to all mankind? I honestly don't know - I play zenless because I like the fun sounds and it doesn't cost any money. I also like buying things from vending machines at the super market because I get to poke the touch screen and it makes fun sounds.

Sorry about not posting too much - I actually got big sick in December and it was all bad. The chest xray the doctor wanted doesn't seem to indicate anything terrible is happening but I still can't talk good yet. Soon though - I shall be able to do more fun videos when I have recovered - but that is in the future and not today.

2026 has been very kind to me in Zenless so far though. I'm usually pretty unlucky with banners (I remain Vivian-less despite my love of umbrellas) but I actually ended up getting the new void hunter AND her signature and (it's not in the video) I actually ended up getting the labubu's W-Engine as well (I'm so poor right now - you'll see this in an upcoming video I'm sure). There's still like 4 weeks in this void hunter banner so maybe I'll try for her mindscapes. I'm sure she'll be great to get my poverty polychromes every reset going forward so I see no reason to not continue investing in the forgetful sword horse as long as her banner is still active.

It's time for me to crawl back into the mines and go get some great disks for my new void hunter and also my old one ironically. Turns out Miyabi doesn't have very good sub-stats on her blade and branch set so I better go get my miner hat with the little lamp and get real comfortable under ground for now.
