Simple food changes after cancer can give us more energy. How?
Well, Chief Scientist at Zoe, a regular guest on the Zoe Science & Nutrition podcast and associate professor at Kings College London, Dr Sarah Berry, reveals exactly how.
Navigating your diet after cancer can be confusing. We often think we need to make big changes. But it’s the simple food changes that can lead to more energy too. "And it’s not only what you eat, it is also how and when you eat", explains nutritional scientist Dr. Sarah Berry.
Let’s learn from decades of research and how we can apply simple food changes for an improved long term health, more energy, and as Dr. Sarah Berry says, for a way of eating that is stress free and enjoyable!
A personal shout out for the team at Zoe, and the Zoe Science & Nutrition podcast from me. I have been following Tim Spector and his studies for a long time! When I got to be one of the first people to become a member and test out their gut microbiome testing kit, I jumped at the chance. It helped me feel in control, and that I could stop beating myself up about taking my antibiotics. Zoe's testing kit showed me that I could make a positive difference to my gut microbiome from all the changes I was making in my diet. I am forever grateful to them for that. Yet another reason why this episode with Dr Sarah Berry was such a special one for me.

About your host Dani Binnington:
The Menopause and Cancer Podcast is hosted by Dani Binnington, menopause guide, patients advocate for people in menopause after a cancer diagnosis, and founder of the online platform Healthy Whole Me.
There is lots of information out there about the menopause but hardly any if you have had a cancer diagnosis as well. Many people say to me they have no idea what their options are, who to ask for help, and that they feel really isolated in their experiences.
I started this podcast because there was nothing out there when I was thrown into surgical menopause at the age of 39, which followed on from my cancer diagnosis aged 33.
Through the episodes, I want to create more awareness, share information from our fabulous guest experts, doctors and other specialists in the cancer and menopause field.
And of course, I will share stories from the people in our community.
So that together we can work towards a better menopause experience. For all of us.
More educated, better informed and less alone.
