PGA Tour winner and US Open runner up John Schlee took personal lessons from Ben Hogan in the late 1960's and early 1970's. He shares some important fundamentals taught to him by Ben Hogan that allowed him to be a consistent money winner every year on the PGA Tour. One of the most important fundamentals Hogan taught Schlee was the Impact Position, how to achieve it consistently, and how to lower your scores at the golf course. John created a teaching program called Maximum Golf and taught these lessons to 1000's of students at his golf schools and through his book/videos that he sold through mail order. John Schlee passed away on his birthday on June 2, 2000, but his videos and teachings are still around for your benefit.
Tom Bertrand was an assistant and friend to John Schlee at his golf schools and makes an appearance in his instructional video. He wrote a book The Secret of Hogan's Swing which included many stories about his time with John Schlee and the knowledge passed to him by John which originated from Ben Hogan.
