About Richard Ignatius

Richard Ignatius is a male singer - songwriter born in Surabaya, Indonesia. His exposure to music
began when he was in elementary school. Starting from learning the guitar, he started to admire
music and aspired to enhance his knowledge and his skills in that field. When he reached high
school, he decided to explore the field of singing and learned it by self-taught. During this time,
his interests towards music kept growing especially in the field of vocal performance, sound
design, as well as music production. He embarked his singing journey by creating content on
youtube and continued on live performances which gained him confidence to express himself
through music.

In 2019, one of his cover songs from East Indonesia “Sa Rindu Ko” became viral on youtube and
received appreciation from lots of Indonesian viewers, Richard has ever since been motivated to
create his own songs, with the support from "Alir Alur" Production Team. By the end of July 2020,
Richard Ignatius released his first debut song which is titled "Setia Menunggumu" on every digital
platform.

In the beginning of 2021, Richard released the next single "Mampu Bertahan" which is the
continuation of the previous song "Setia Menunggumu". In the Year of 2022, Richard wrote a song
namely "Tegar" which lyrics were related to and concluded the stories of his two prior songs. He
hopes that through his music he can deliver the sense of relatedness to his audience.
