In this video, I give you very quick comparism of Alpha- H Clear Skin Tonic vs Paulas Choice 2% BHA Exfoliant

Is this my new BHA replacement? The Alpha- H Clear Skin Tonic also contains 2% BHA although its further down in the inci list.

The 2nd ingredient in this is Alcohol Denat which I was initially concerned about, but after reaching out to the PR company, this is the response I got

"Dermatologists and clinicians use pure alcohol immediately before a peel or microdermabrasion to prepare the skin, remove superficial oils and to help clear a pathway for the active ingredients in the peel to penetrate evenly into the skin. This is exactly the function alcohol has in the Liquid Gold. Glycolic Acid is a water-based solution and its’ ability to penetrate into the skin could be blocked by any deposits of sebaceous oil or residue of oil-based cleansers left on the Stratum Corneum; the alcohol removes these barriers to allow the product to function at its optimum. In the Liquid Gold, the alcohol also works in conjunction with the 5% Glycolic Acid and the low pH of the product to stimulate activity in the skin. Alcohol evaporates immediately on contact with the Stratum Corneum; it does not penetrate further into the Epidermis.

I would strongly advise to be careful with this product if you have sensitive or dry skin
