Описание: Geoglyphics are hill figures, horses, giants and long men drawn on the ground. These figures are mostly ancient works made by our stone age ancestors. Some of these works have pagan meanings and were celebrated for procreation, good crops and passage to the 'Other World'.

Long Man of Wilmington
They call it a 'long man' but I call it a giant; what's the difference ?
This giant is a hill figure on the steep slopes of Windover Hill near Wilmington, East Sussex. With his strong arms, the long man holds the gate to the Other World, this may give you the rite of passage if you ask politely. Unfortunately, this figure is not true to the original as it has been redrawn and modified along its timeline; now he wears trainers, as the last restore work was done by school children (trust them !).
Now it is all shiny again.

Cerne Abbas Giant
This is the giant amongst the giants - with a height of 55m, he is the winner for size.
Was he the god of procreation, or some Thor-like giant roaming and wrecking around in the near-by villages ?

Litlington White Horse
The Litlington White Horse is a chalk hill figure depicting a horse, situated on Hindover Hill in the South Downs, looking over the River Cuckmere to the west of the village of Litlington and north of East Blatchington in East Sussex, England.

Uffington Horse
The Uffington White Horse is a prehistoric hill figure, 110 m long, formed from deep trenches filled with crushed white chalk. The figure is situated on the upper slopes of White Horse Hill in the English civil parish of Uffington. The figure has long been presumed to date to "the later prehistory" – the Iron Age (800 BC–AD 100) or the late Bronze Age (1000–700 BC). Sometimes our ancestors liked to draw on walls and sometimes they liked to draw on the ground, when they could not find a wall for their graffiti. The Uffington Horse is our best example of such ground-work. It is also known to be the most ancient of geoglyphics.
