Описание: Meet Riley on this 48th episode of Vision of Representation. She tells the story of her sister Carley Allison, which was diagnosed with a rare trachea cancer. Carley was always very positive and spread the message to "Always Smile", which inspired many people across the world. Carley passed away in 2015, but her story lives on through her family, and through Carley's Angels, a non-profit organization that funds holistic cancer treatments in hospitals.

Riley is the executive director of Carley's Angel. She started this foundation alongside the family and friends of her sister, Carley Elle Allison. Carley was a strong and courageous young woman who battled a very rare form of cancer. Due to the rareness of Carley’s disease, traditional medicine alone was not enough. Instead, Carley’s family, with the help of Toronto’s outstanding medical community, committed themselves to search for a combination of traditional and holistic treatments for Carley. The holistic treatments proved to be especially effective during Carley’s difficult journey. However, these treatments were not available in hospitals and were very difficult to access. Carley’s Angels is working to unite traditional and holistic cancer care in hospitals, while also spreading Carley’s contagious message of "always smile".

"Vision of Representation" is a documentary series by student filmmaker, Stephanie Hubert. She has created this platform in order to tell people's stories. She believes that sharing stories helps others understand and become more informed, which allows for growth and less judgment.
