Concluso il ciclo ho deciso di riassumerlo tutto all'interno di un unico video, anche se non è concepito per essere eseguito e ascoltato in questo modo, ma ogni pezzo è indipendente. Infatti l'accostamento dei pezzi e delle tonalità non è affatto studiato per un'esecuzione completa, come per esempio è il caso dei Preludi di Chopin. Sicuramente l'umore e il carattere prevalentemente intimo di questi pezzi è anche la conseguenza non voluta di un anno personalmente complesso. Spesso il termine preludio, che non ha più l'accezione antica, è il pretesto per richiamare forme diverse come il ground, il tema e variazioni, ironicamente anche una fuga, o meglio, un preludio che si crede una fuga. Ma è già da Chopin, e poi con Debussy, che questa forma ha richiamato su di sé ambizioni ben più ampie. Per quanto riguarda lo stile sono totalmente incurante rispetto alle sollecitazioni obbligate del contesto e della storia, non siamo più nel post modernismo, ma nella post storia della musica d'arte cosiddetta. Senza scimmiottare Schumann o Chopin ci possono essere momenti estremamente romantici, solo che per me il Romanticismo è una categoria atemporale non uno stile, quindi è il mio Romanticismo. Oppure momenti più rudi, aggressivi e “modernisti”, altro termine che forse non vuol dire niente. Ma anche preludi dal carattere ironico, o dal significato molto personale. Ma è evidente che son quasi tutti permeati di un elemento umbratile, autunnale che non nego. Non ho il tempo di fare il pianista professionista: quelli facili li ho suonati io, quelli difficili sovra incisi usando più tracce, alcuni sono altamente virtuosistici. Un ringraziamento particolare va all'amico pianista e compositore Luca Moscardi che ne ha magistralmente interpretati alcuni. Grazie. Buon ascolto!

At the end of the cycle I decided to summarize it all within a single video, even if it is not designed to be performed and listened to in this way, but each piece is independent. In fact, the combination of pieces and tonalities is not at all designed for a complete performance, as is the case with Chopin's Preludes, for example. Surely the mood and the predominantly intimate character of these pieces is also the unintended consequence of a personally complex year. Often the term prelude, which no longer has the ancient meaning, is the pretext to recall different forms such as the ground, the theme and variations, ironically also a fugue, or rather, a prelude that is believed to be an escape. But it was already with Chopin, and then with Debussy, that this form attracted much broader ambitions. As far as style is concerned, I am totally oblivious to the obligatory solicitations of context and history, we are no longer in post-modernism, but in the post-history of art music.
Without aping Schumann or Chopin there can be extremely romantic moments, only for me Romanticism is a timeless category not a style, so it is my Romanticism. Or rougher, more aggressive and "modernist" moments, another term that perhaps means nothing. But also preludes with an ironic character, or with a very personal meaning. But it is evident that they are almost all permeated with a shadowy, autumnal element that I do not deny. I don't have the time to be a professional pianist: the easy ones I played, the difficult ones overdubbed using several tracks, some are highly virtuosic.
