In this video, I take you behind the scenes of doing location audio for ESPN at the NFL Combine at Lucas Oil Stadium From the high-energy environment to the unique challenges of capturing crystal-clear sound in a massive stadium, I share my experience working on one of the biggest sports events of the year.

As a location audio engineer, my job was to ensure top-quality sound for ESPN’s live broadcast, which meant dealing with everything from crowd noise to ensuring the announcers were heard clearly. I’ll walk you through the equipment I used, including microphones and mixing gear, and discuss the importance of setting up and testing everything ahead of time.

You’ll also see the techniques and strategies I used to manage live audio, handle multi-source inputs, and troubleshoot on the fly to keep the broadcast flawless.
