Описание: In its first innings, the Modi government started a scheme, the Ujjwala scheme, under which a provision was made to provide free gas connections to poor families.To an extent, free gas connections were provided to eligible families, but with the recent hikes in the price of gas cylinders, most of these families are unable to get their cylinders refilled.

On one hand, the state BJP government is claiming record numbers of Ujjwala connections in Uttar Pradesh, but there are still families who are unable to cook on an LPG cylinder gas stove even after getting the benefit of the scheme.
