2005 VW Jetta TDI BEW intake cleaning and EGR delete. NEW DAILY driver…. 40mpgs?

Описание: Well y’all since we are trying to save money and get into rental houses and change directions in life in a big way…. I decided that over time a new to me daily drive was a good idea. I did quite a bit of research and settled on a TDI VW and I like the MK4 Jettas so here we are…. I wanted a wagon but didn’t want to pay the extra. I also wanted a stick shift but couldn’t find one at a decent price that didn’t have a ton of miles. I wanted to buy a car between $2-2500 and have $3k or less on it when we were done. I was trying to buy and ALH TDI and didn’t realize it changed in 2005 to the BEW. But I still got a good deal on the car because it needed some work. I bought this 2005 VW Jetta MK4 with 119,000 miles for $2,000.00 and a 6 hour round trip. It’s a BEW 1.9 liter TDI and a 09A 5 speed automatic. The car needed the intake cleaned and EGR serviced along with a power steering pump. That’s what I was aware of at the time of purchase. Turns out it needed the solenoids in the transmission as well. But as you will see over the next few videos we fix all of that and it turns out to be a decent daily driver. With a grand total of about $2800.00 to $3000.00 in the car.

We clean the BEW intake manifold and do an EGR delete in this video because it’s all clogged up and was throwing boost codes and going into limp mode.
