The optional slide F and C notes can be handy tools as expressive devices and also to help keep phrases in the same breath direction. Students should become well acquainted with both options i.e the "regular" AND slide versions of the notes. I eventually get into demonstrating which options I use on 4 different kind of F arpeggios ; the major triad, major 7th, minor 7th, minor w/maj 7. I actually wish I didn't skip over the minor triad. For that I would use all the blow note options. Anyway that is a saxophone neck strap around my neck. Enjoy the trippy color changing I'm currently arm wrestling with cameras and lights.
