Insane custom painted Trek Madone!

While I spend my weekdays painting bikes and helmets for customers, I still like to take any chance I get to paint my own personal bikes. I use my personal projects to test out new techniques and ideas I have, and this candy base paintjob was a long and involved process. My girlfriend had a reed diffuser with some pieces of Lapis Lazuli in the bottom and it really caught my eye, so I tried to replicate the texture and feel of the stone on the carbon frame of my Madone. A silver base followed by hand painted cracks and fissures, covered up with deep blue candy paint to try to give some depth to the paintwork. Then I added more and more cracks, some white, some gold and some with holographic flake. A few more rounds of effects and some 24k gold leaf logos later and I was happy how it came out! It has had a great reception out on the roads from people who have seen it, and like almost all custom paint it has to be seen in person to be really appreciated!
