In this video i show you my latest arcade pickup; Konami 88 'Games. This is also known as Hyper Sports Special in Japan. This is the 3rd game in the Track & Field / Hyper Sports series. It's a game i was unaware of until recently and having looked the game up on KLOV, it looks to be quite a rare / uncommon game. I bought this game to go in my converted JAMMA cabinet which already houses an original Track & Field and Hyper Sports PCB; so this 3rd PCB further maximises the cabinet control panel layout as all three games share the same button configuration.
This games i a mixture of events from both previous games in the series, but adds an new event which is a 400m relay race, and it is used twice in each round totaling 9 events.
The graphics, animation of sprites, and the sound; are vastly improved in comparison to the previous games.
