Easy way to fix your 350z's latching problem if you have a convertible.
If your convertible won't go down all the way as in it doesn't seem like the latching mechanism that pulls your top tight doesn't seem to work it may be this problem.
How to diagnose the problem (to see if this will solve your issue):
STEP 1) Stick your finger in the hole where your convertible would latch to
STEP 2) Feel for any loose parts (If you do not feel any loose parts, your motor may be bad, BUT if you do, the hooking mechanism may be loose and you may need a new spring)
STEP 3) Open your convertible so the top is up and the Toneau cover is open completely)
STEP 4) Find the maintenence access cover for the motor
Step 5) Find the other side of the cover
STEP 6) Using a dremel or angle grinder cut a hole in the plastic
STEP 7) Locate the hooking/latching mechanism that is loose
STEP 8) Attatch spring to latching part connecting it to the cable actuator
DONE
