The first global board game event to celebrate the 30th anniversary of CATAN.

On June 28, 2025 CATAN – Connect will be played in more than 40 countries worldwide. Local events will be broadcast via a global live stream, allowing CATAN fans around the world to experience community like never before.

About CATAN – Connect
With fixed round times, a shared dice roll and simultaneous trading and building phases, CATAN – Connect creates a completely new, dynamic gameplay experience in an incredible atmosphere, where up to 6 players* can enjoy playing CATAN – Connect together!

*With additional sets, the number of players can be expanded as desired.

🎲 Important rules differences from CATAN - The Game

CATAN – Connect may only be played with an even number of people.
The game ends at 18 VPs.
The app specifies the length of the rounds and determines the dice rolls. It also announces the active side (sun or mon) each round.
Everyone acts at the same time, regardless of whether they are active or inactive.
All players may trade with the supply at 4:1 or 3:1 or 2:1 when built on a trading post.
Active players may also build.
You receive 2 bonus VP each time you build your first settlement in a new region.
The largest army bonus requires a minimum of 2 knight tiles.
Resources are always kept visible.
The game is infinitely expandable by adding more CATAN – Connect games.
There is 1 robber per player. A robber may only move within its own starting region.
The app determines where the robber is moved when a 7 is rolled. After the player has discarded the resources and moved the robber there is no stealing of resources from other players.
When a knight is played, the robber can be moved to the desert. The player can now take one supply in correspondence to the robber's initial position. If the robber was in the desert initially, the player may take a resource of choice from the supply.
