The Start at EVN: Brandner began his career at EVN in the early 2000s. Using his expertise in forestry and economics, he was responsible for setting up the supply chain management for wood biomass district heating systems.

Master's as a Turning Point: The part-time Master's program at TU Wien provided him with all the essential basics in other renewable energy fields, including wind power, solar, water, and geothermal energy.

Career Jump: With this expanded knowledge, in his early 30s, he moved to VP Vintagi where he was tasked with starting and leading the project development department.
