Ben Gvir sparks outrage with execution-themed TikTok video

Описание: Israel’s far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir is facing backlash after posting a TikTok video glorifying executions just weeks after Israel passed a controversial death penalty law targeting Palestinian detainees.

The video used the viral “voices in my head” trend and featured AI-generated images of nooses while Ben-Gvir declared he “dreams” about executions.

Human rights groups have condemned the death penalty law as racist and discriminatory, warning it could lead to executions of Palestinians in military detention.

The backlash intensified after images resurfaced showing Ben Gvir celebrating his birthday beside a cake topped with a golden noose and the message: “Sometimes dreams come true.”

Critics online described the video as “sadistic”, “morally rotten”, and evidence of growing extremism within Israel’s far-right government.

Arab Knesset member Ahmad Tibi said Ben Gvir and his wife “need a psychiatrist immediately”.

More than 9,600 Palestinians are currently held in Israeli custody.
