This client resides in Van Dyk Park Boksburg.
This client had a old Centurion D3 sliding gate motor which was damaged by lightning.
Pottie did a assessment on the gate motor and advised the client of the damage.
Pottie provided the client with a damage report and a quote for repairs.
The insurance paid the client cash in lieu and advised the client, that she could use her own service provider to effect repairs.

Client then contacted Pottie again and a date and time was set down in order to replace the damaged Centurion gate motor with a new Centurion D5 Evo Smart, sliding gate motor.

The old Centurion D3 gate motor was removed and the plastic razz rack was also cut off.
The steel gate wheels felt rough, so both were removed and lubricated/ greased. Both steel gate wheels are running smoothly.
The gate roller guide bracket was also cut off and welded into position with enough space which prevents the steel sliding gate from being pinched.

The steel platform was prepared and extra steel brackets were welded into place to further secure the platform.
The Centurion D5 Evo Smart gate motor was then spot welded into position.
The gate motor was removed and the gate motor steel base plate was welded down completely, along with the anti theft bracket ears.

The Centurion D5 Evo Smart gate motor was then bolted down into position.
The gate motor is upright, level on all axis and parallel with the steel sliding gate.
The spacing between the gate motor and steel sliding gate was set to allow for 30x30x3mm and 40x40x3mm angle brackets to be used 500mm apart.
The start up sections were fitted with extra brackets to prevent flexing of the steel gate rail.
all of the brackets and steel gate rail areas were painted with primer paint to prevent rust from forming.

With the gate motor securely in place, Pottie connected all the electrical wiring.
Power was applied to the gate motor and the battery charging voltage was checked. It was found that the battery charging voltage was 13.20 volts dc and it is far too low to charge a lead acid battery fully.

The battery charging voltage was set to 13,86 volts dc.
The gate motor limits were set via the my centsys pro app.

all remote transmitter were also programmed onto the system
The day night switch was also connected and it was found that the day night switch did not want to switch off. Client advised that the day night switch has been like it for ages.

The client was advised how to use the app and how to place the gate motor on manual and back in gear.
Client is very happy with her newly fitted Centurion D5 Evo Smart sliding gate motor.
